Care Quality Commission Visit - 4th February 2016

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) will be visiting the Practice on Thursday 4th February 2016. They will be evaluating our service to ensure that the Practice offers safe and effective care to our diverse community. The Inspection Team will be talking not only to our team but also our patients. We welcome your views and feedback and if you wish to attend to speak with one of the Inspection Team we will do our best to facilitate this, please contact Finola Johnson our Practice Manager for more information.

Sharing Information with Local Emergency / Urgent Care Departments

We are planning on sharing health information with the Emergency / Urgent Care Department at Wythenshawe Hopsital. This will mean that if you attend the department that the staff working there will be able to better meet your needs. They will ask for your consent to do this at the time.

NHS 111 / Out of Hours Urgent Contact

From Tuesday 10th November 2015 ALL out of hours urgent telephone contact to the Practice will be provided through NHS 111. All patients requiring urgent medical assistance or advice between 6.30pm and 8am Monday to Friday & between 6.30pm Friday evening to 8am Monday morning should contact NHS 111 by dialling 111.

All patients contacting the surgery out of hours will be advised to contact NHS 111.

The service is a free service available nationally and should be used for urgent requests. All emergency health needs should continue through dialling 999.

Named Accountable GP

All our patients have now been allocated a named accountable GP. In most circumstances this will be the GP you registered with. The staff will inform you who your named GP is the next time you attend the surgery. If you would prefer to change your named GP please just ask a member of the admin team to change this for you to your preferred choice.

Please note that whilst you have a named accountable GP you still have the ability to choose any of the GP's when making an appointment, the staff will offer you either the next available appointment or the next available appointment with your choosen GP.
