Care Quality Commission Visit - 4th February 2016

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) visited the surgery on Thursday the 4th February. The Report is disappointing and contains some factual inaccuracies despite our feedback to the CQC. The report also conflicts with the evidence reported in the both the General Practice Outcome Standards & the General Practice Higher Level Indicators published by NHS England.

GP Earnings 2014 - 15

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Chorlton Family Practice in the last financial year was £69,167 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 5 full time GPs and 2 part time GPs and 1 locum GP who worked in the practice for more than six months.

NHS 111 / Out of Hours Urgent Contact

All patients requiring urgent medical assistance or advice between 6.30pm and 8am Monday to Friday & between 6.30pm Friday evening to 8am Monday morning should contact NHS 111 by dialling 111.

All patients contacting the surgery out of hours will be advised to contact NHS 111.

The service is a free service available nationally and should be used for urgent requests. All emergency health needs should continue through dialling 999.

Named Accountable GP

All our patients have now been allocated a named accountable GP. In most circumstances this will be the GP you registered with. If you would prefer to change your named GP please just ask a member of the admin team to change this for you to your preferred choice.

Please note that whilst you have a named accountable GP you still have the ability to choose any of the GP's when making an appointment, the staff will offer you either the next available appointment or the next available appointment with your chosen GP.
